OH SHIT

is this why the show was taken off nick?

So this is what air benders can do. Sucking the air out of people’s lungs. Just as cool as lightening bending if you ask me

No I don’t think you guys understand this is frightening

Airbenders are pretty much the most powerful benders. A firebender has to create fire. A waterbender is most powerful on the open seas as much as an earthbender is on land. But air is literally everywhere.
The Air Nomads weren’t dangerous because they chose not to be.

you’vE GONE TOO DEEP

Hey, HOLD UP.
While I agree that Airbenders do have a lot of power at their exposure, they aren’t the only ones.
Waterbenders can bend any type of fluid containing water, even blood inside the human body! That’s pretty fucking metal.

They can also take the water vapor out of the air, use their own sweat or even drain the water out of every living thing nearby.

Imagine that ^^ happening to a person..
Next we have fire, the element of destruction. Like Airbenders, they can use the air around them, and transfer it into energy. Firebenders can bend or generate anything fire/ heat related.  That means lightning, flames, or extreme heat that has the potential to shape its environment (such as melt molten rock and metal.) Even fire breath!

Next we have Earth. Earthbenders can bend anything related or comprised of Earth, such as metal, rock, dirt, sand, etc. EVEN LAVA. Anything mineral related? You got it. Admittedly, minerals- although extremely easy to come by, are not as present as water or air. But there sure is enough to make use of, and we can’t say Earthbenders aren’t powerful!

This guy just stopped a volcano.

Not only are they powerful, but they are also graceful.

And I mean look at this! Avatar Kyoshi Earthbends a freaking continent in HALF!

In conclusion, fear all benders.

😂 lmao it ended so perfect

Question: if enough time has passed since a meme’s inception, can it become popular again? To test this, I am injecting tumblr with this old meme. Spread it far and wide.

YES.

I am convinced that there are people out there who are young enough to be unaware of this meme, one of the oldest.  Let it spread again fr great justice.

raaawrbin:

I feel like very few, or at least not many of the people of tumblr are aware of what is going on in my home country Hong Kong right now.

You guys gave alot of coverage and support when Scotland was voting for its independance, so I’m hoping you’ll all support the people of Hong Kong as well.

Right now, many of us are in a mass demonstration of pro-democracy against China. But wait a sec, isn’t Hong Kong China? This is a big misconception amongst foreigners, but please, we are far from being similar to China at all.

A little history class: Hong Kong used to be colonized by the British, and before you white-knights begin going all “them damn white racist ppl taking over another asian country” please don’t. We are thankful Britain took us under its wing and instilled in us values that I feel made us what we are today; that is, a democratic people with respect for free speech, amongst many things.

On the other hand, China is communist, with government controlled media and news. Google, instagram, facebook and many tv shows are blocked in China. It really is just a few steps from North Korea imo.

So what’s the problem here? Britain unfortunately had to hand back Hong Kong to China, but one of the requirements is that Hong Kong be allowed to operate as ‘one country two systems’, meaning Hong Kong should be able to have its own democratic government. But China has broken its promise. A while back, China tried to put a mandatory ‘national education’ curriculum in all our primary schools. We all know what that is; a communist brainwashing regime. And now, they have announced that in 2017 Hong Kong will be able to vote for its president; BUT only from 3 candidates hand picked by its PRO-BEIJING legislation.

As you can see, China is trying to takeover completely and turn us into another communist state.

Of course, we have taken to the streets. In a mirror if the Tiananmen protests, students have also stepped up to fight for our rights and our future, albeit in a peaceful protest of course. But the police force who have always been a friend of the people, are now responding with force, something that had never been done before in Hong Kong.

First it was pepperspray, then teargas. Then, armed forces came in qith rubber bullets. They warn they will come out with live ammunition soon if we do not get off the streets but the people continue to sit tight, disrupting businesses China so strive to takeover and make use of. It’s been 2 days now, but the people plan to continue at least till 1st October or even beyond. The significance is that October 1st is China’s National day, not ours, Hong Kong has not been granted it’s own National day.

Please spread the news. This is a country we’re talking about. These are my people.

You can join this event to wear yellow in support of my people on October 1st.

You can also read a more detailed explanation of what’s going down here and watch a live feed here.

Q
Hey I just wanted to tell you that PETA stuff you reblogged isn't as scummy as you think. Yeah, they use awful tactics but because their ads are so over the top they've been able to settle disputes with agriculture and animal products companies quietly. They do work to raise the welfare of animals and if an animal cannot live without suffering (this means in confinement or captivity) PETA also believes in euthanizing. It is shocking but we are waging a holocaust on our food

PETA isn’t for animal welfare, they are for animal -RIGHTS- and the distinction is a big one.

So long as they strive for:

~ Total animal liberation, (aka no pets, no farms, no zoos, no breeders or shelters). They want complete disassociation from human and animal interaction. Even if that means the deaths of most domesticated species.

~ Completely vegan society. Where individual choice does not matter and those individuals who do not thrive on all vegan can kick the bucket, for all they care. No meat industry = no obligate carnivore pets.

Market horrible advertisements full of insane logic and gorey scare-tactics to show young children. To scare them away from meat and certain games that they think promote cruelty to animals. Like this

~ Lure the average joe in with pictures of cute puppies and kittens suffering in shelters. Throw up big -donate to help them- signs. Then they turn around and use that money to fund terrorist organizations like ALF, vegan agenda campaigns and lawyers to support things like BSL Almost NOTHING goes to those poor animals.

So yes they are scum, even with the over the top unscientific advertisements aside. I will grant you that in lobbying and suing for the complete erasure of farming, testing and other animal captivity worries, they have resulted in some beneficial animal welfare. Where they were met half way and the animals benefited but it was not their intended outcome.

Please! Be for animal welfare! Don’t Be for PETA.
Be responsible and know where your animal products come from. Boycott  products of mistreatment and unhealthy conditions and you yourself will be healthier for it.

Don’t even get me started on sea kittens…

Don’t forget that PETA pays people to abuse animals for their videos/photos.
Remember they are a for profit organization and no nothing to actually help animals.

New arrangement is posted! This one is of Gold Pilot, composed by First Turn Fold. The beginning of the original was used in [S] Act 6 Act 6 Intermission 1, but my arrangement is of the full 5-minute piece.

Oh my word…
I seriously teared-up during this. You have done what I’ve failed to: Arrange Gold Pilot in any cohesive way for solo piano. And it’s absolutely Gorgeous!
Thank you so much, my friend. It’s an honor to be so expertly covered!

Thank you! I just spent several minutes being very excited that you found this and liked it.  Thank you for having written the piece, and for your kind words. I enjoyed arranging and learning it, and it’s very rewarding to read feedback from the composer himself.

If you have any interest, here’s the sheet music for my arrangement.

This egg dish comes out freshly made in a korean earthenware pot if you go to traditional Korean restaurants and it is one of the most savory, comforting food ever. It’s piping hot, the egg soft, airy and salty. The whole pot is gone into my belly in a blink of an eye. There are many different ways to make this dish and you can even microwave it for 3-4 minutes instead of steaming it and get a similar result but I think steaming makes it have better texture. Some people put it in a rice cooker when they are making rice, too. When you make a bigger portion of this recipe, remember to increase the cooking time accordingly. In case you are wondering what the Korean traditional earthenware pot (Ttuk-Bae-Gi) looks like, I’ve put some pictures of it above. You can easily buy regular earthenware bowls at any kitchenware stores like Crate and barrel, Pier 1 import…etc.

You can make it completely vegetarian by swapping the fish sauce for soy sauce!

WIZARDING SCHOOLS AROUND THE WORLD: CHINA

Located in deep in the Guilin mountains, shrouded in mist and frequented by dragons that live in the multitude of winding rivers, the students of the Chinese Institute of Magic don their colourful wizarding garbs every September 1st for their return to school whereupon they are treated to spectacular opening festivities involving, but not limited to: choreographed martial arts performances from their combat professors, an assortment of acrobatic wonders, and “Mystery Mooncakes” specially made for the mid-autumn festival.

#BUT WAIT #HOUSES BASED ON THE ORIGINAL FOUR #THE TIGER THE DRAGON THE PHOENIX THE TORTOISE

#just imagine how powerful their magic is though #they’ve been developing it for almost 2000 years longer than western magic imagine how refined and beautiful

#harry potter being eurocentric was such a fuckin’ waste

#my favourite thing is how those of us who have grow up with harry potter are now saying “no that’s not enough” and are expanding the universe #like we’re all critically looking at the books and realizing everything that’s wrong with them and fixing it ourselves #and idk i think that’s amazing

i think this would work really well with that one headcanon post going around saying witches and wizards of several non-european nations practice wandless magic with relative ease. does anyone have a link to that?
